Getting Out of Bed On the Right Side

I had the best start to the morning. This is something that everyone should do once in a while. I had a massage! No, not one of those husband-ulterior motive massages. This was an honest-to-goodness sports massage from an honest-to-goodness sports masseuse.

I rocked up at her house at 7am and she pummeled me into submission. I'm hoping that this time there'll be no bruises. And she gave me a good report card. I'm in a lot better shape (my muscles are less 'woody') than last time. Could that be because I've cut the k's down a bit? Because I've been doing all my hip stability stuff? Because of the stretching and rolling I've been doing?

I'm feeling so good now. Like I can do anything. Bake cakes for Coach Chris's 40th birthday? Done! Make some bathers for a friend's twins for their second birthday? Done. Sort bikinis and posing trunks for delivery? Done! And it's not even lunch.

Maybe I should start every day like this!

  1. Don't know what bathers are but it sounds like you are getting a lot done while having a great day! Excellent!

  5. Getting a massage is just about the most luxurious thing I can imagine. That followed by a big coffee, a chocolate cake, and a good book without any noisy kids to bother me - the perfect morning...

  6. The leader of our running group recommends a massage once a week. Of course, he is an elite athlete. I am not elite nor wealthy, so I get one once a month.

  9. Glad you could get a massage to start the day. Now the massages and the thermal baths are part of my life to prevent injures. Am I getting older?

  10. Sports massage and two birthdays: seems you had a good time!
I haven't find the word "bathers" in my dictionary: could you tell me the meaning? I'm curious :)

I think runners would need sports massage once a week. I sometimes have a thermal bath.
    Have a relaxing week end!

  11. Ah, you certainly deserved that. I got a stress relieving massage at work the other day, neck and shoulders. Was fantastic. I'm definitely going for a back massage soon. Have a good weekend!
