A Moment's Weakness

This finally happened -

And Iven and I were extremely proud parents for the third time.

But today I have something dreadful to confess. Something I'm really ashamed of.

You know how I've been sprouting off about once Luke leaves school there'll be no more lunches made and no more ironing done?!! Yesterday I was weak and I ironed three of his shirts. I swear it will never happen again!

(I'm feeling much better now I've confessed)

  1. Watch out. College AND grad students are REALLY good at weaseling their parents into things like ironing. I should know. It's a skill.

  2. Maybe you're just weaning yourself off the ironing?

  4. Funny! I loved doing my son's laundry after he left home. I saw him when he left it off. I saw him when he picked it up (Or I admit I delivered it) and truthfully I didn't mind doing it. He has a washer/dryer in his new house and I kind of miss it! Congrats to all of you.

I love this line from your blog,.

  8. If you want I can send to you my squire for your homeworks (ironing included): it is free, only a little of food everyday and a bed outside your door.
Congrats to the graduate and the proud parents.

  9. Congratulations to the graduate!! You look very proud and happy in the pic. Can't see the harm in the ironing and I'm sure your son doesn't mind either!:) Have a great week!

  10. Admit it - you are hopeless. When he visits from college you are going to treat him just like you do now.

  11. Congratulations to your son - what a cutie :). And yes, you will be ironing and lunch packing from time to time - we're moms, that's what we do :).

  12. Ok. First. Loved your comment on my post. Hilarious.
Second. If I beg just right .... I can still get my mom to iron for me [in a pinch]. Actually, she asks if she can because I exchange her ironing talents for my shopping talents. AKA... Free clothing. Yay!!
